We played a concert at a refugee shelter in Berlin today. It was an amazing experience. These dudes rocked out with us during the show. Great kids!
But the moment I'll remember most was when a man came up to me afterwards & shook my hand with both hands. He had the most grateful, warm smile you've ever seen. I can't speak Arabic, he couldn't speak English. But we knew exactly what each other was saying.
These people have endured so much. Their strength and courage is beyond measure. It was a privilege to bring a little music back into their lives.
Doesn't matter where you come from or what religion you belong to. We're all human beings!
