We broke our 2015 busking cherry today!
Started raining after 6 songs so we didn't get to play long. But it felt AWESOME to finally take our "band" sound to the street. A lot of our tunes don't work on acoustic guitar & pulling out the electric changed all that. Incredible vibe from the crowd too. Busking has always been fun but this is the first time I've loved it. Because today was the first time it really felt like us.
The cops were pretty cool too. You're not supposed to sell stuff in the park without a license. A policewoman saw our CD sign, turned it over with a little "I'm gonna pretend I didn't see that" smile, rocked out to a song & kept walking.
Packing up now. Then it's beer time.
Berlin friends! We're playing in Mauerpark tomorrow (Sunday) at 1pm.
Bob's bought a little guitar amp for street gigs, so you'll finally hear those sexy guitar solos in their full electric glory.

At the beginning of this year we decided to take a break from non-stop touring to work on a new record. As usual we ended up in Berlin- our home away from home since we began living on the road in 2010. Grungy, cheap and overflowing with artists, it's an inspiring city and our favourite place to catch our breath.
We've been busking a lot to cover our food and rent. It's been frustrating at times since we're most at home on stage with amps cranked to 11. But it's also a lot of fun.
We make more money when we thrown in a few covers- here's one we played at Mauerpark last Sunday. Complete with crazy local dancing.
