Our new bass player Stefan arrived in Berlin last night (on his birthday!). Feels great to have a full lineup again. Been jamming without bass for the last few months & it hasn't been the same.
Stefan's current facial expression is somewhere between "I'm pumped!!" & "What the f$&k have I done?". He's quit his job in Vienna, left his home & family and moved in with a bunch of evil Australian dudes that he met at a 3 hour audition last year.
Poor kid. We took turns force-feeding him beer as his birthday present. He seemed pretty happy by the end of the night.
This is what happens when you let bands crash in your rehearsal studio... Our mates from Leverkusen had a gig in Berlin & needed somewhere to stay. Wicked few days of jams, chills & beer.
There were 5 people sleeping in one room & there's no shower in the building. So things did get pretty funky in there. But hey, a jam ain't a jam without a some sweat in the air.
We're alive & kicking. Been settling into Berlin for the last month. Touring is great, but man it feels good to have a home again. Real beds baby! Caught up with our old crew at Mauerpark this weekend. The summer vibe is in full swing & you can literally breathe the creativity in the air...
Staying in some cool share houses on the east side of the city. We're a short bike ride from the studio which is going to make writing sessions way easier.
We're smashing through the boring stuff atm (like sorting through giant bags of receipts from the tour- yay). Once that's done, it's studio time.
